Bias in Media

Hi, I watched the popular news channel CBC, a lot of people are aware that this channel has a lot of bias for Democrats, this isn’t to say its the only one though. Some of the quotes or even images used during the election are meant to make Trump look bad, which gives people a bad impression on him leaving them more likely to vote left instead of right. This isn’t to say that everything that comes from CBC news is ‘fake’, but instead biased so they are only telling you parts of the entire story, if there is one. Image selection is also big, since CBC news is a leftist news’ station, its going to cater towards Democrats instead of Republicans, this means that the images they choose to put on their, are going to ‘demonize’ Trump and his followers look, only showing the worse giving the left wing followers very bad impressions on the right wing and vice versa. Most democrats/republicans, will want to watch a news source based on their political beliefs. These news stations, CBC news for example, will then start giving news based on what their audience wants, which ends up on these news stations showing how bad the other political party is. This is a big problem because the people who watch these biased news channels, end up getting fed information that either isn’t true at all or it is true, but leaving important pieces of the puzzle out. They end up being misinformed about not only their political party, but also the opposing one. You might be wondering why I said they are getting misinformed about their own political party, well here’s why. CBC news will tend to only want to show the best of the left wing and the worst of the right wing, leaving its viewers hating the other side, and thinking their side is all mighty, when in reality most people don’t even know the difference between democrats and republicans other than what news stations show. I’m not demonizing all news stations, I’m specifically targeting ones that have bias because they are more harmful to the country than helpful, and I would suggest watching a neutral one or doing your own research before picking a side.
